The oxygen tank is not a problem, you can buy one and get it refilled at a welding shop. If you use that type of tank the regulator needs to have a bubbler on it. The only difference is the Med O2 tank is certified clean. If you put water between you and the tank, you shouldn't get any particles down the tube. Now, the problem is getting a regulator without a prescription. Maybe someone here can steer you to that solution.
I have used welding O2 since starting oxygen over 10 years ago. NEVER had a problem using it and sure is cheaper..
