I do have both Clusters and Migraines, and have had both at the same time (RARE but it has happened)! I wish I knew how to help you with this, I can tell how much you would like to see your father better.
The only thing I can say would be, maybe he can try some of the medication we use. Just read the post and the information on the side it might lead you to the right answer.
