For a chef to have his own personal mainframe he must be rolling in the dough. It'd only cost about $100,000.00. Then there is the repair costs from the vendor, at $5,000.00 plus an incident. Since DSL or ISDN is not made for mainframe connectivity the cost of maintaining a frame relay connection is in the range of a thousand dollars. For 20 users to connect is very generous. If, on the other hand, he moonlights as a sys. admin for a company and is leasing this time slice from his employers mainframe,....well, i just hope he doesn't get caught.
All in all, i'm impressed.
