Most of us share your frustration. The sad fact is that there is no cure yet. I heard in your posting the frustration of a man who was probably still in pain and just wants em to stop. You didn't mention if you had tried oxygen yet. I went the road of pain killers and found pretty much what you did that the rebound after a pain killer can be worse then the original. Oxygen doesn't appear to have the rebound affect, doesn't have any substantial side affects, and works pretty well. Hope it helps you, sorry to hear you're hurting, been there done that.
