Dave,
Try to get a prescription for oxygen. Always have a full tank on hand befor reordering about three E size tanks(scuba tank size). The second you get the feeling, go out to your car (if you can't keep it with you) and start sucking. Most of the time, it will stop it in its tracks for me (the first few minutes seem crucial). I'm 39, had these about 15-16 years, and seems that the oxygen is the most dependable. Imitrex also seems to work for me, but that could change next episode (others also seemed to work somewhat for a while, then nothing). Hopefully your doctor knows you well enough to see what treatment works, but my bet is, that oxygen tank will become your best buddy. Also, since you lay floors, does the fumes seem to trigger them? I know I can't shop at certain department stores that put the perfume counters at the entrance, and that other chemical smells have triggered them for me too. Good luck on staying pain free.
Joe
