Thanks for the responses. Yes, I am really upset with my doc, time to see another one. (I have only seen her once before and have therefore not become to attached).
I was started on 180 mg/day of verapimil. I have read responses/letters of it working but at a much higher dosage. She basically told me if this doesn't work in 6 weeks (wow, that's a long time away from now!) then to come back. I just don't know about this...
Mabye I'll try some of the ol' tricks, like showers,etc. I tried breathing cold air (yes, I stuck my face against the window-unit air conditioner on high) and chewing on ice...neither helped.
I have heard drinking any small amount of alcohol may trigger attacks while on verapimil, well...guess I figure I'll get them anyway. Might as well enjoy a glass of wine.
