As someone into the 7th week or the current cluster (with a couple of days with more than three attacks at or above an 8 - including 2 in one night!), I can pretty much vouch for the injections.

I normally follow the tip on the board of using a half syringe full at a time (sometimes accompanied by a half 100mG tablet) and speaking, it works in around 5 - 10 minutes. That said, this time round I've had a couple of attacks where all it did was to hold the pain and prevent it going any higher - that's worrying!
