I'm a 27yr. survivor of CH and have gone through every new treatment to come down the road, most of it quite unsuccesfully. It seems that everytime I go into cycle I have to contend with another Doc that just wants go through the same drill I've already gone through.
My new Doctor though (who I've been seeing for about 2yrs.)is extremely inovative in his approach and is unafraid to try anything. Has me using (among many other things) a 10% solution of lidocaine delivered in a fine mist, this has to be done at a mixing pharmacy. I have tried 4% before unsuccessfully.
It works about 40-50% of the time but that's better than the dance all the time. He also "shotgunned" a lot of other stuff that for the first time I'm actually getting some relief. Hope this helps even one person.
