I can't tell you how a "reasonable" person would think that. Nor can I tell you how you think that. I can tell you that a nation's history DOES have an impact on the people who live there. Or do you possibly think we have no racism in our country (I know you live off on an island but I don't know if you expatriated, which is why I say "we"). Are you really suggesting that a history is never appropriate to bring up once the laws change and that mysteriosly everyone is no longer bad people??
