I can tell you about what I wanted from my supporter.
NOT to approach me in the middle of an attack, asking me to respond, which I can't.
He only did it the once. Afterwards we sat down and talked about what I wanted when in the midst of an attack.
So when he has his painfree time, ask him what he wants you to do... silently offer cold towels... keep the baby occupied... put on the hot shower...
get out the car to go to the ER...
Whatever. But ask him when he is not in pain.
