Well, I have had candida problems after taking sulfa antibiotics. His dad has no known symtems of candiasis. I've just read a book that states that within weeks after nursing is stopped, candida can be found in young babies too. I don't think that yeast causes anything except for a seriously weakend immune system. There are more and more people out there coming down with all sorts of auto-immune diseases with no clear anwers as to why, but most, if not all(if tested correctly) have something alike... a candida infestation. Bennett did not have thrush or many diaper rash problems, but he did have cunjuntivitis, which permenatly made his left(side of clusters) eye slightly smaller. The doctor also took a sample from bennett's nose and found it to have an unusually high count of staph bacteria. I don't know if there is a connection there either. I'm just as confused as you. After reading posts from Dan Lion and Jim Carney on this website, and on the harvard neurological website, I am at least convinced of a connection. Jim Carney was a doctor with clusters...and as far as I know he doesn't have them anymore. If you would like, I will try to find the links that Jim wrote on the harv.neuro. site. shelly
