Yes, there is more to CH other then pain. Yes, the pain is something else but it's not all there is to it. I'm often not clear headed even when I don't hurt. Even when the HA does not "break though" the med the other symptoms are still there. Tired, dopy, etc. I understand not having any thought of ch when your not having an attack. This is how I have done things for about 35 years. I felt they took enough of my time why give them the good time too. Coming to this site is a big departure form that thinking for me. But until recently I did not know what I had or what a ch was. So coming here now is a little hope that makes me feel better. So yes you can feel not so great without CH attack. You can also have a strange euphoric feeling at those rare times (very rare) when you feel like someone that does not have ch.
Bottom line is that everything you are saying sounds normal to me.
