I wanted to share some info with everybody on something that seems to be helping.
In addition to having these beasts many times every day(I'm chronic), I also suffer from Fibromyalgia and here of late it is so bad that I can't sit, stand, lay etc. for more than 5-10 minutes at a time or everything stiffens up.
I recently did some research on the "Duragesic Patch". I saw my neurologist this week and asked him what he knew of it. He is the best doc around!!(John Harney, MD, Richardson, Texas) He started me on the 25mg patch every 2-21/2 days. He said he knew it would definitely help the Fibromyalgia and hopefully lessen any one of the CH symptoms or even break the cycle. He has had one female patient have some success in decreasing the intensity. I figured I had nothing to lose.
I have just put the second patch on and WOW! I have been in the best mood and have had more focused energy than farther back than I can remember. It really has been a pleasant shock that it has worked so well to help keep the Fibromyalgia in check.
AND............... Here's the BEST part ...............
I went to bed at 10:00pm and did not have to get out of bed and do my IM injection even one time. I had one about a 9 but I fought and won that battle. It has been over a year and a half since I can remember having uninterrupted sleep!
