Lynn. apparently they don't understand that you can only get 100% o2 with a mask!! The nasal cannula does not deliver close to that. No wonder you don't get any relief. Please push the issue with you doc and the company that maintains the tanks.. they don't have a clue. Yes, dose does have an important bearing, you can give yourself too much. People that have chronic lung problems can only take around 2liters per minute because the o2 decreases the bodies need to breathe for itself. Anyone receiving tanks from a resp company should get very specific directions after all it is a prescription.
