Just finished battle # 3 for the night. I wrote a detailed "post" & my computer locked up just when I went to post. Oh well
I take (1) indocin and (2) cafergot in AM and PM. I also suck O2. Nothing really works. I sit on the john sucking O2 or squat in shower with Hot Hot water beating on the side of my head. (Sometimes I put a cold beer can on the side of head and alternate with the hot water. Pretty sure all any of this does is give me something to do while demons mess with me. As soon as I go back to bed, I fall asleep for 20 minutes or so and WHAM right back up again. Usually 6 or 7 times in the night.
Questions of the day...
Anyone else use indocin/cafergot?
What do they do if you go to the Er. I always figure CH's would be gone by the time I could get to hospital???
I've had CH's for 12 years but 5 years ago I went to Chinese accupunturist in Bradenton, Fl and after about 8 treatments, headaches went away completely for 5 years. This time I went to Neuro 1st, got O2 (1st time) and Indocin/cafergot.
Went back to same Chinaman, this time after 3 treatments I was pain free for 4 days. On 4th visit I was so excited about no pain that I was ready to send back O2 tanks and stop drugs. He suggested that I not do that yet. Recommended that I reduce drugs by 50% and wean slowly. Ten minutes later I had a # 7 or 8 in his office while on the table. He put pins in me everywhere but couldn't stop pain for about 2 hours. I've had much worse but at least I know that now he knows how bad I get CH's. He stuck me everywhere trying to stop them. I have no heath insurance at this time, I'm broke, freaking and have just about given up.
