My principle here has always been try and be friendly three times, then, if the response is still hostile say "fuck off" and forget it.
I cannot bear these endless tirades that some people pursue, that, 90% of the time, are from reading something wrong in the first place.
If half the energy spent on vitriol were put into positive action, we could do so much more.
