I agree with your long (but absolutely clear) post. And I want to add something else.
I prefer to be a poor, stupid man, but I start always from the point: 'He/she do not lie'. Is not easy, sometimes, but I prefer this way. After, if I will be f###ed....OK, better than slam a door on the other one face.
But the big difficult is another one:
We (the old family) are sometimes bored, sometimes annoyed from OLD questions from newcomers. Those questions that have had 1000 answers, those questions that are clearly 'ignorant' (in the sense of ignore), the statements about new cures.
All this is REALLY boring for us. The difficulty is to continue to help newcomers. They don't know all we have known in years here, never asked these questions, never shared their cure... and DON'T KNOW US!
And, at this point, start the difference between being a board user and an OUCH member. A board user can (have not to, but sometimes happens) say to the newcomer: You're boring, You're wrong, You're stupid.
An OUCH member CANNOT. We ANYWAY have to answer clearly and correctly to the questions!
The prayer is for the non-OUCH members:
Please, if a question is old, stupid, contains probably false statements......DON'T ANSWER IT!
Let another person to do this, preferably of OUCH.
----Please, don't take this in the wrong way! a board person can answer anytime he want, the prayer is to avoid BAD answers----
And in all this, there is the highest power of OUCH: understanding CH, but first help people to live with CH, help supporters to help relatives that suffer, help with tips, a good word, hearing anyone venting.
THIS IS THE POWER OF OUCH, and this is the main meaning to join OUCH (is not an advertisement, is really what I think!)
