Guss, Read the exellent information at the top of this message page, in there the Dr. suggests starting at 80 mg / day for 5 days, then tapering off at 10 mg / day or something close to that. That has gotten me out of some terribly long bouts, sometimes had to go through 2 courses.
P.S. your doctor did the worst thing you can do to a cluster headache patient, find someone else asap. please.
