My goodness! Such quick responses! Thank you so much. He's been in bed and out all day, this one started at about 2 am last night and has been horrendous for him. Iput a wet face cloth in the freezer after I read all of your hints, and I'll try it for him as soon as it's frozen.
I've been bringing him water all day, and he's too out of it to resist, so maybe that will help too. Do you think that opening the windows to let in fresh air will help?
