I've never taken lithium myself but do know a woman who takes it for clinical depression. It helps her BUT, she trembles so badly she has trouble shaking hands. She actually misses when she reaches out. I have no idea whether this is a common side-effect or anything else, I've just seen ONE case and she told me that the lithium was doing that to her. In her case the improvement in her problem was worth the side effect. Anyway, since then I've been a bit leery of the stuff. *S* Other people seem to do OK as far as I've heard.
