The infference drawn from the paragraph above, that because of the brain stem activation findings differing, migraine and cluster have different origins does not follow. Brain stem activation is a result, not a cause. The belief that it is a cause is pervasive. This belief is the one of the reasons that the drugs available work so poorly. The're trying to relieve a result, not a cause.
In the meantime what do YOU mean by brain stem activation? I'll wait for the expert to get home and then I'll get his version to you.
