Perhaps this is old hat information to all of you but I'll post it anyway.
One of the differences between cluster and migraine (besides the difference in pain level) is a diagnostic one. One of the medical indications that a patient is sufferening from clusters as opposed to migraine is that he/she tells the doctor that when the cluster strikes he/she wants to commit suicide. For this diagnostic reason some medical text books call clusters 'Suicide Headaches'.
