I take 360mg/day when in a cluster. After it's gone I drop to 240mg/day for 3 days, then 120mg/day for 3 days and if need be 60mg/day for three days. If I feel THEM coming back at any stage of tapering, I stay at that level for a few extra days or even go back up a level for a few days. The only precautions from my Dr. and the literature that comes with the perscription is don't stop cold turkey. It would basically cause a blood pressure rebound which can cause chest pains or even the big one if the pipes are a little clogged or the ol' ticker isn't in the best of shape. No harm staying on it a little longer. Take your time and do whats comfortable.
