Bob, You are right Covera=Verapamil with a different time release. Different co. put on different spins to help prevent certain side effects. Verapamil is definitely a first line treatment for clusters, but it should not be taken "lightly". High doses can cause heart block, in various degrees (just to mention one adverse reaction). I increased my dose of Verapamil...had some light headedness, which was unusual and found out I had some low degree heart block. Point being, take your side effects seriously. These are all medications with potential side effects. Educate yourself and update your MD. They need to know. Never (NEVER) ignore chest pain, tightness, shortness of breath, etc. Take good care of yourself, always. irene
