I interviewed with a reporter from the LA Times this week. My wife and I will be part of a special story 1/29 about Traumatic Brain Injury or TBI (my wife has from an auto accident).
This reporter, Linda Marsa is an expert on pharmaceuticals and the companies that make them. She wrote a book "Prescription for Profits : How the Pharmaceutical Industry Bankrolled the Unholy Marriage Between Science and Business" in which she discusses how drug companies don't want to manufacture drugs that don't have high profit potential (high demand). Scientists get a lot of their money from the drug companies, and so don't have much incentive to develop drugs that aren't going to make a lot of money.
Think drugs designed specifically for CH would interest them much? Not if only 1% of the population buys them.
