I'm with you. Never been a head banger. I just sit in my chair with my head hung forward, ice bag on my face until it hurts too much then move the bag to the back of the neck. Periodically wipe the tears and snot from the left side of my face.
Prednisone didn't make my hair fall out but I put on about 20 pounds. Felt like Haystack Calhoune (that will mean something to you 60's wrestling fans). Didn't stop the CH.
Anti-depressants: There's a guy I work with the takes Elavil (amitryptiline) and hasn't had CH in years. He swears by it.
Hang in there. This cluster will pass.
