When first attacked at age 42, I weighed 175 and had a 32" waist. After a few years of prednisone, lithium, sansert, and several versions of antidepressants, I grew to my present weight of 210 with a 38" girth. On my 6-2 frame hangs my new found bowling ball. I think that some of these preventives change the metabolism, make you want to eat everything in sight and then sit and stare into space. I was one of those clusterheads who would have drunk hemlock to make the pain stop. Now I have to live with the lard bucket strapped to my waist. And by the way, I now follow a low fat diet and exercise daily, but the layers peel off more slowly that they accumulate.
