CH is so mysterious, there is no way of knowing for sure what will happen or why.
I do hope very much that he will soon be feeling tip top.
I always got prescriptions on the last day of a cycle. It is impossible that they worked to wipe out the pain starting the very next day. I seem to recall having almost totally pain free days and nights with only some minor shadows as the cycle wound down and gradually disappeared.
I was pretty careful to take my daily medication until I was absolutely sure the beast had left.
