Please know that your pain is heard, felt, and understood. Many of us here, myself included, have been at the point where death seems a more viable option than dealing with one more fucking headache, more attractive at the moment than hiding from your family and your cowokers and your life. It's not though. You asked for words of strength, so I will do my best and offer you these: Pain is transient. Death is permanent. Your headaches are episodic. They will pass and in a few months you will return to living pain free. In the meantime, you have many people that care deeply for you and that understand beyond a shadow of a doubt what you are going through during you headaches, in dread of your headaches, and in every aspect of your life that the beast's far reaching tendrils touch. There is of course the hope of remission, or the hope of finding something that works better than imitrex pills that we may be able to collectively offer you advice on and you us.
Know also that 20 years of cluster headaches is in itself a tribute to your strength. Don't give up now. You are in my prayers. Email me if you want to talk.
Peace and Love,
Georgia
