Hi Dave,
You have a few times mentioned (well hidden in follow ups :-), that you had success with IV medrol (methylprednisolone) 3 years ago. Please let us hear about this in more detail, such as:
Have you been chronic or episodic before this treatment?
How many attacks did you have? What medications were you on and with what success?
What amount of medrol (methylprednisolone) did you receive and in what time?
Did you have to stay in hospital for the treatment and if so how long?
Was there a tapering off like the one necessary after taking small doses of steroids over an extended time?
Was success immediate or did it take a few days?
Have you been completely attack free since this treatment and have you taken any medication since?
Do you know where from your neuro got this treatment and do you know of other successful cases?
A lot of questions, but if someone knows of a treatment that gives 3 years relieve, we'd like to hear more than just one sentence :-)
In October Riccardo quoted a paper from Italy about a prednisolone shock therapy that may be similar to the one you had.
I've heard of a bloke that had such a treatment, although his reports on a small and obscure message board don't say very much, and there are no references at all.
Thank you in advance and PFNAD's
Ueli
