Soooo, after 3 years of no CH's, almost forgotten, I awake, middle of the night with a vague recollection of pain from the past. I built a special shower for the nights that didn't come, with four shower heads and 2 faucets with 3/4" lines. I also built a bench to sit on while the water "banged" my headache away. The test failed. The forgotten pain came back stronger than ever. My wife stood over me and watched the fun begin. Next morning I'm off to a new Neuro with pages printed out from this web page. He says " have you tried oxygen?" I leave with scripts in hand for oxygen, indocin and caffergot. That day the oxygen arrives and I wait for the demons. They come, I run to the bathroom, grab my mask, turn on the flow and breathe. Ten minutes later, no CH. I'm blown away. Now I want to shoot the last doctor for not giving me oxygen. Five more that night and each time it goes away. I love my big green bottle. Five or six more days go by, tanks down to 1/2 but I don't care I can get more. The next night, here they come, I grab my mask, turn it on and wait. Pain's getting worse but....just wait the oxygen will kick in any minute now...it doesn't. All the joy of knowing I can abort with a breathe fades and I'm in the shower, mask still on, oxy pumping, head banging, drinking water by the five gallon bucket. Why did it stop working? Who knows but, the next night when they came, I increased the flow and she worked. Today, something new, we're having the demons visit in the daytime! Called the Dr. but, he's on holiday so tonight maybe they won't come since they played with me all day.
Anyway, just venting, praying, whatever works.
I'm new to this site, I love it, prosper with the up-coming year and be without our friends.
