hi ya'll... it's been over two weeks since my second series of shots and
it worked much better.... i seem to be out of the high danger zone.... no ch just
a few shadows and my verapamil seems to be working okay. The shots were not steriod shots
i found out. They are called something like octiblockers and block the nerves that are most
affected. For me, the pain was worth it. Two weeks of NO ATTACKS.... and now... i seem to be
holding my own. Hopefully, in two weeks, i can wean of the meds and return to life. This had been
a long cycle for me. Lasting since September. And i learned alot here. Maybe in future years i might
try the lithium/verapamil mixture if needed. And the blow dryer thing actually HELPED ease the pain.
Seems every few years ... new meds and maybe maybe a cure. For me, I think i'll ask for the shots every two
weeks .... and pass on the steriod burst next time. That just dragged me down to much. Well, wanted to update
so if anyone else wants to talk to their neuro about it. Don't think regular doc's do it. take care and wish me luck.
I really am hoping this is the end of an especially tough and long cycle!
