Your experience is so similar to my husbands. We spent a few hours in the ER again last night (fourth time in two weeks). He had already taken compazine and zomig, but pain was still severe. Like you, his pain subsided somewhat by the time he got to the ER (this always seems to happen). They gave him Terodal (sp?) again and it helps a little. He started verapamil yesterday, but we know it will take time to become effective. I know how your partner feels--it's frightening and frustrating to watch someone we love go through this pain and not be able to help! Good luck with the oxygen--it has helped Lee if he uses it early--same with the Zomig and Compazine.
