Hello Clusterheads! I havn't been able to get to this site in about a week, I just got caught up on the messages.
Just as info, my original Dr. got me back to his original treatment, which seems to be working fine. I'm taking 2mg of Ercaf twice a day, which keeps most of the attacks away. If I still feel one coming through, I first use O2 5-10 minutes. If that doesn't stop it, next I use Lidocaine - nasal, which has stopped most of them. Since getting away from the witch Dr. (Neurologist), I've had 2 full attacks in the last 2 weeks (thank the lord for Imitrex!) Considering that previous to the O2 and Lidocaine I was having 2 per day, what a relief!
As for 48hrs, what can you expect? I was getting dressed for work during the show, and only caught about half of it. No one wants to talk about CH's, and very few know anything about them. I studied pre-med and was certified as a Paramedic, and never heard about them until I started getting them 6 years ago.
Understanding? I now have to have a "Fit for Duty" examination and reports from my DR. concerning these attacks. The only reason is that for the first time since I started having them, my co-workers saw me in a full blown attack, without any medication available. I had tried to explain to them many times previously what could happen. Their normal reply was "If it's just a headache, then it's your problem, deal with it."
This time THEY had to deal with it. Solution? Get rid of him!
Anyway, keep the faith, and "Nill Carborendum Nill Illigittium" (Don't let the Bastards wear you down) --
