After five years I went to a headache clinic opperated by Dr. Gawel in Toronto. After going through the usual tests and series of drugs he asked if I'd be interested in participating in a new drug study which at the time was Imitrex. I waited until my clusters started and then began an extensive detailed chart to see if I would be accepted for this free medication. My attacks always lasted nightly for three weeks up till then. Dirty trick! I'd skip days here and there which was enough to drop me from the program. It's like the damn thing has a mind of its own and that's the way I treat it since this happened. It's evil but I try to smile at it in the mirror when I'm in my worst pain. I can't let it win. So I guess I'm hoping this new study will help someone, please.
