We're the guinea pigs. I'm a willing one if it means aborting some of the attacks. According to the literature, it's really using it in the long term for lengthy periods of time that would have to concern us most. That's why it's not recommended to sleep with the O2 mask on. Well, that and the dangers of suffocating if your tank runs dry.
