I started as an episodic about 10 years ago. About four years ago, I became a chronic. My doctor has now classified me as a "constant", whatever that means. He is desparately trying to help me, so that counts for something. The point is, we cannot stop your pain, but we can understand it, because some of us suffer the exact same pain. The reason so many paople spend so much time and energy on this board is to help others, like you, who have nowhere else to turn. Whatever else you do, don't abandon your friends here.
There are doctors who can help. The OUCH organization is compiling a list of competent neurologists who treat clusters, and the area where they practice. Please try to find one close to you.
