Here's what I usually do:
Just about everyone knows what migraine attacks are,
and a lot of people have even watched migraines attacks
happen.
When they tell me they do know what migraine attacks are like,
I usually come up with something I read somewhere at some
point. It's called the "compressed migraine symptom". I tell
them it's a 3 day migraine attack, compressed into 45 minutes,
and that upto 6-8 times per day, lasting (in my case) for 4
months straight.
That usually clears up any misunderstandings they might have
had.
I've had 2 really bad periods (4 months each) over the last 3
years, but I'm glad to report that i've been off the hook for
almost a year now. The downside is that looking at my statistics,
I may fall into another phase (as I call them) this summer.
Good luck all :o)
