"Screwdriver in my Eye"
by Dave (drummer)
Sitting on a stool in my room,
I can plainly see,
The stupid little angel,
That sits atop that silly tree.
Waiting for that moment in time,
When the screwdriver is set free.
I won't ask, "What or How or "Why?",
But rather I'll inquire, "Why not me?"
The screwdriver enters my left eye,
And I can no longer plainly see,
That stupid little angel,
That sits atop the silly tree.
People pray and pray and pray,
For God's love and good will.
I don't ask for anything at all,
Well, except for maybe some Verapamil.
I reflect on the angel in the tree,
Not asking, "Why me, why me?"
But instead I believe it is better,
To be an O.U.C.H. member.
While this poem really sucks,
And it's not even about a Christmas tree.
I really wish that stupid little angel,
Would stop staring back at me.
So there you have it,
I have voiced my pathetic plea.
If you don't join O.U.C.H real quick,
I'll write a stupid poem about me.
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Love,
Dave
