Re: Ibogaine... more doesn't necessarily mean better. The extra ring in the structure of Ibogaine may make it just dissimilar enough from serotonin that it won't work the way that psilocybin and LSD does. Not saying it won't work, mind you... just that increased complexity does not necessarily equate to increased efficacy.
I am glad to hear that your regimen of weekly small doses seems to be working so well for you. However, it may be that in the long run, such frequent doses may actually be counter-productive. The Beast is a wily adversary, and seems to have an uncanny ability to adapt his strategy to compensate for our assaults. We are all only too familiar with tales of medications that used to work, but no longer do.
Now that you seem to have the upper hand, you might want to reduce your frequency to every two weeks for a while, then once a month, then every two months, etc. This assumes, of course, that the Beast doesn't return. If he does, all bets are off! Nuke that sucker!
While I have no scientific theory to bolster the following statement, I believe that part of the success of the hallucinogen therapy may be due to the essential "strangeness" of the experience, even at such low doses. If the experience is repeated too often, that "strangeness" aspect diminishes and eventually vanishes completely.
I freely admit that I may be wrong on this. There just isn't enough data available yet to draw a firm conclusion. But at the very least, if you reduce frequency to twice a month without incurring further pain, you will at least cut your expenditures in half.
Regardless of how you choose to proceed, thanks once again for your input. Every little bit helps.
