Hi, something has just occurred to me regarding this thread: Alcohol is a trigger for me - however it seems to be time related. Let me try and explain......

In a cluster, then the attacks occur pretty much when they damn well feel like it! Drink doesn't seem to make a whole hell of a lot of difference. One day, (I like a beer and tend to down one most days) I thought "I'll not have any alcolhol at all" - that day was one for the record books with more attacks in that day than any other! Doesn't sound like it's a trigger huh?

Out of a cluster things are a little different! If I take a drink in the evening, then fine, just very rarely will it bring on a single headache (and yes it's identical to those in a regular cluster). However, if I take a drink a lunchtime - then it's almost guaranteed that I'll get one. The interesting thing is that it doesn't trigger a cluster, just a single headache which follows the usual pattern.

Odd huh? I've reached the stage now when the only change to alcohol is that I never take a drink during the day. Evenings seem fine.

Comments anyone?

Wishing you all a pain free festive season (and if it's not festive for you due to your beliefs, then stay pain free anyway!) Regards, Chris. (UK)
