Don't throw-in the towel quite yet. I have often found that the HAs increase in intensity and frequency shortly before they make their blessed, if temporary exit for a few months.
In any case, while I am an advocate of short-term use of prednisone if it brings relief, I wouldn't go back on to it at this stage of your cycle. Just try to wait it out, and believe that they're trying to make their exit very dramatic, even operatic. Again, such has been the case with me many times, and I certainly hope it is with you now.
