no... it wasn't that either.... and i had it done
the day before thanksgiving. I wish i HAD asked what
it was... but i was so tired from lack of sleep and the pain
attacks that when the neuro was explaining it, i just said, "sure,
i would love it". It was a shot. He took a needle and stuck it in a vile
thing where he took liquid out of it. He explained he would find a soft spot
behind my ear area (is the best i can find it) and it doesn't hit your skull.
He shoots the liquid in. At first, you feel the typical needle sting, then a burning
sensation with the needle still in your brain. I moaned and squeezed the nurses hands who
kept telling me not to move and just to squeeze my hands and not to move. After, i felt kinda
dull thinking. Mellow. Sorry, I am instructed to call him tuesday when he returns from his
holiday. It isn't a comman thing i gather...but he suggested as something he could do.... that when
the pain is bad enough, and the attacks often enough.... they can justify it. You have to sign
papers releasing permission. That was different. I guess liability stuff. So... poke around the area
between your lower ear area and your neck area...and that's where they put the liquid fire.
