I'm new to this site and am in fact looking for
more information on epilem myself.
I started on this drug three days ago.
It was prescribed to me by a neurologist, as
I have what has been described as a syncopal
(ie faint like) condition. The cause/s are as
yet unknown and it is hoped epilem will prove
it is or is not epilepsy.
The only side effect I'm suffering so far is
drowsiness that borders on exhaustion at times -
and as this is like the condition epilem is
supposed to be curing, I'm not sure if its the drug
or not.
I have also been told that epilem can affect the
kidneys, but have taken the risk as I have been
told even if I suffer epilepsy I would only need
the medication for about two years. This condition is
really interupting my life and affecting those around
me, so this has been almost the last resort.
Have also been told epilem is not addictive, but
it does seem to have numerous possible side effects.
If anyone is still interested, I can bring in the
information I was given with my prescription - it
seems fairly comprehensive.
