My name is Tom, 25, suffered from cluster headaches for 15 years. I think it started when my left eye was hit by a fast tennis ball, but I could be wrong.
When I found this page, I finally new what I had been suffering from. I went to my doctor, a very good man, and told him that I thought I had cluster headaches. He sent me to a neurologist who measured my brain stormes (or something like that), and he confirmed that it was cluster headache. That was last summer.
4 weeks ago my doctor gave me a medication. It says "Zeneca" and "Inderal 40mg" and "Propranolol. HCI" on the back. I'm in Switzerland, so the name for it in the US may be different.
Point is, I believe this medication has cured me! The pain was growing more and more intense, and since taking the first pill (and now 1 every day for the last 4 weeks), the pain has almost gone away whereas it was supposed to really start. I still have a little headache every day, but it goes by after 30 minutes or less, and it's not really worth mentioning, it's not intense at all.
I don't know if the pain will return. I'm confident that it won't, and if it will, I'll know there are now medications specifically against cluster headache.
Try to get that medication and try it out (you need a subscription). I hope you'll all get cured!
