It's difficult to say, Deborah, for they change all the time. I may get the "tender scalp, bruised eye" feeling, or the aching teeth, or I may go straight to the threshold of hell trying to get that pickaxe out of my eye...

I very much hope for you that the neuro is wrong and it's not clusters, but s/he may be right. It may turn out this is a mild episode. Pain may get worse.

Do talk with your doc about using less medication. Not everybody needs the same amount. Many docs start on a medium amount and will adjust the dosage when you ask.
