If a good cry helps, then go ahead (works for me occasionally). If the doctor doesn't listen try and find one who does, if possible (been through 3 neuros + others). Ask doc about imitrex, verapamil, feverfew, and/or anything else your research may tell you about (Plenty of info on this site to research). Heck, a good cup of coffee at the first sign of an attack has even been helping me lately.
As far as everyone else, keep trying to educate them. Bring them to this site or print up some info and let them read and learn.
Remember you will beat the "demon"!
