Message to 48 hours is as follows -GOOD LUCK!!
www.clusterheadaches.com
If you could mention Cluster Headaches on your programme it would be
extremely helpful to all Cluster Headaches sufferers and to anybody that
may be suffering from any of the classic symptoms.
Many people may be suffering from Cluster Headaches and not know it.
Doctors have very little knowledge on the subject and on average people
suffer for up to ten years before they are correctly diagnosed. Many
people undergo countless forms of useless medications and sometimes,
like myself, painful operations in the hope of getting a correct
diagnosis.
All we are asking is that more information is made more widely known
This is one of the most painful conditions known to mankind. By making
the symptoms know to public you could be helping thousands of people to
recognise there own symptoms and obtaining the correct treatment. We are
trying to prevent other people going through countless years of "not
knowing" and wondering if "this pain" is going to kill them.
Cluster Headaches
This rare disease has been around for many years but is not often
diagnosed quickly. If you suffer from the following symptoms and would
like more information, please select the link at the end of the page.
Cluster Headache is among the most severe pains known to mankind. It is
characterized by excruciating, debilitating pain lasting from 15 to 180
minutes, and occasionally longer. The pain is usually located around or
through one eye, or on the temple. The series of cluster headaches
usually lasts several weeks to several months, once or twice per year.
Clusters may occur every other year, or even less frequently.
Several of the following are usually present: eye tearing, nasal
congestion, runny nose on that side, redness of the eye, drooping of the
eyelid, a small pupil on that side, and sweating of the forehead.
Nausea may also occur. Attacks usually recur on the same side of the
head.
Cluster headaches may occur at any time, but spring and autumn are
frequently times of exacerbation. There is usually no family history
unlike with migraines.
Just think - this could happen to you!!! at least you may now reconise
your symptoms and get the correct medication after having read my
e-mail. Please give others the same opportunity and mention Cluster
Headaches in you programme of 4th March 1999. The least you can do is
mention the URL (http://www.clusterheadaches.com) where exisiting
sufferers can obtain further information and communicate with each
other.
