I've read that Lyme disease can cause headaches, arthritis, eye problems and heart problems. I've had all four, and lived in Connecticut (where Lyme disease originated or was first diagnosed) at the the time of its outbreak. My blood tests for Lyme disease came back negative, however, I still wonder. Also saw an article a while back about false negatives in Lyme disease blood tests.
