You are not a terrible wife for feeling frustrated. But please don't blame him for "stomping around" or being over-sensitive. What these guys go through, you and I will never be able to imagine the pain. My husband is a sufferer too. Our job, as supporters is not one of being able to imagine the pain. It's more one of accepting it, understanding it and finding ways to help them battle it. Read everything you can lay your hands on - this website is a really good place to start.
Next, ask your hubby what he wants you to do for him during an attack when he is NOT being attacked. Don't fire questions at him while he's getting hit.
Try some self-helps....ice packs, dramamine to help him sleep (or Benadryl), water treatment, get some Oxygen if you can (O2, not H20) - hang in there.
You'll get good at walking on those eggshells. It's quite an art, actually.
